Knotallow Tarn..

Knotallow Tarn is a small water situated up high above Ulverston with magnificent views of the Sir John Barrow monument (The Hoad) and overlooking Morecambe Bay.  Covering 5 acres and up to 6ft deep it is stocked with only Brown Trout.  Fly fishing only allowed on this water.  Only the area from the gate entrance to the causeway is stocked and fishermen should not try to fish from the causeway as it is loose underfoot.  Wading to Wellington boot height only.  Parking is outside of the kissing gate adjacent to the road.  Anglers should be careful not obstruct the road traffic.
