At Barrow Angling Association we share our waters with some amazing wildlife. You can often see deer, hares, rabbits, owls, buzzards, kingfishers, birds of prey and numerous ospreys.
The reservoirs provide fantastic close up opportunities to see some magnificent birdlife. So BAA, with permission from United Utilities, provides a limited number of birdwatching permits. This allows a permit holder to enter the secure areas and use the private car parks. Permit holders can take up their position on the water as long as it is not impairing the angler.
The number of birdwatching permits is limited. They run from 01 April to 31 March the next year. However, renewals can be purchased when the BAA site opens for renewals in early January. Birdwatchers must sign in and out of the Log book when entering and leaving the water.
